Crack sealing is the placement of specialized treatment materials (crack sealant) above or into cracks to prevent the intrusion of water and incompressible materials.
Cracking is a common and unavoidable type of damage found in asphalt pavement. The crack sealing is the single most important pavement maintenance activity. Sealing cracks promptly helps to prevent water penetration which can accelerate the deterioration of the pavement and result in potholes and base failures.
BPM-500 is a crack sealer designed for heating and pouring the bitumen-elastomeric sealing mastics while sealing cracks/seams and waterproofing for repair and construction works on highways, airfields, bridges.
The main element of the crack sealer is the heating container. The mastic is heated to the operating temperature by a diesel burner through an oil jacket filled with thermal oil.
The heated mastic is fed through a supply hose and a rod.
A system for electrically heating the hose is provided.
BPM-500 is equipped with a device for cleaning joints and cracks.
Our crack sealing machine can be trailer mounted. It is completely self-contained, meaning it is capable of heating, melting, and applying all grades of rubberized asphalt crack sealant, joint sealants, and waterproofing compounds without the assistance of additional equipment.
