With the CompactRotoSonic crawler CRS XL Duo we combine the best technologies of both worlds.

The CompactRotoSonic is the rig of choice for all overburden drilling activities with a typical depth up to 100m/330ft. It is very fast and efficient in (soft) alluvial soils and due to the simultaneous rotation, with sonic resonance, it can handle mixed formations like no other drilling product available in the market! The CompactRotoSonic is designed for drilling and sampling of all overburden and hard formations (boulders and rock layers). It will provide a high quality sample with full recovery of all difficult to sample formations.

With an additional 4-speed rotary head the CRS XL DUO will be the ideal exploration rig. The CompactRotoSonic head is used for overburden and the intersection to bedrock. Once firmly in hard bedrock you can continue with conventional wire line diamond coring using the 4-speed rotary head. This will provide the most cost effective drilling technique for both overburden and hard bedrock.
