This unit suffered fire damage, which was the result of an electrical fault, on on 7th January 2016.
It was being moved from one depot to another, but when it wouldn't start, one battery was changed for two smaller batteries. This was the potential cause of the fault that lead to the fire. The engine, hydraulics and wiring are said to be completely burnt out and the chassis was subject to heat. The rail gear, basket and counterweight are said to be unaffected however.
The location have advised that the buyer will need a crane capable of lifting 17 tonnes for collection. The unit is on concrete standing. The buyer must however provide a risk assessment and method statement prior to uplift.
