Rick Trout worked 27 years in oilfield electrical construction, focusing on automation, telemetry, and power line construction. In 1992 he decided to concentrate solely on building a used truck and heavy equipment dealership. In 2004 Trout Machinery moved to a three acre 15,000 square foot facility on the I-25 corridor just East of downtown Casper. Trout Machinery has become not only Wyoming’s largest but one of the regions largest independent used truck and used equipment dealers. Sales are national and international.
