Efficient Screening: Screen Slope - The standard slope for Equiptrade screens is 20 degrees is 20 degrees from horizontal. Screens can be adjusted in the range of 15 to 25 degrees from horizontal. Operation outside of that range is not recommended except in special circumstances. Integral Feed Control Box: Feed box arrangement protects screening surfaces from the heavy impact of cascading material, and aids in spreading the material bed across the screen width. Optional full-height back plates eliminate spillage at the screen's feed end. Abrasion resistant liner surfaces are available. Direction of Rotation: Uni-Flow rotation is the standard operating mode for screens. It provides the maximum material travel rate over screening surfaces, and results in top capacity. Contra-Flow rotation reverses the direction of mechanism rotation, and results in a circle of rotation in opposition to the down-slope of the screening surface. It reduces material travel rate, and increases screening efficiency, but at the price of lower capacity. It also increases the tendency of marginal or near-size particles to plug or blind screening surface openings.
