Old tires are processed to rubber granules and rubber powder of different grain sizes and packed in big bags.
The tires are placed with a forklift on the feeding conveyor, a rotary cutter with 2 x 90 kW precuts the tires and then in several stages they are crushed (shredder with 2 x 200 kW, single-shaft shredder with 55 kW, granulator Herbold SMF) pitted, drained of metal and fabric free, ground, sifted and sieved.
The system has been running smoothly until the closure in May 2014.
