Description

  • Czech armored personel carrier, only one in Australia, imported from Poland. This vehicle is 8 wheel drive, with a V8 diesel engine capable of amphibous operations via twin propellers at the rear of the vehicle. The SKOT OT 64 weighs 12.5 tonnes, length of 7.44m and a width of 2.55m. The front of the vehicle has two seats and hatches for the driver and the commander. Behind them is the TATRA V8 diesel engine,180 hp. Top road speed of 100km/h. The motor has been serviced along with the fuel filters and runs well. It has 866kms on the clock. I have another brand new TATRA motor for this vehicle for sale separately. Entrance to the rear of the SKOT is gained by using twin doors that open out. Two large hatches are located in the roof that open up. The turret can be accessed through the rear, with a hatch opening up on top, within the turret is provision for a 14mm machine gun. The transmission, including gear box final drives and the air compressor that drives the gear box and the propellers have all been refurbished, the gear box was imported from Poland and is in a brand new condition. All tyres are in great condition, I have 8 off road tyres available for sale as well. The tyres are inflated/deflated through controls near the driver, as well as the switches for 4 wheel and 8 wheel drive, the propellers and the onboard air compressors. The steering is power operated through the air compressor. All brakes are good condition and are also air operated, all airlines have been inspected and replaced where neccesary with modern pipes. The vehicle has been sandblasted inside and out and new paint applied in a camoflage pattern on the outside. The vehicle comes complete with all the tools attached to the outside, shovels, picks etc, radio aerials and a 7m radio mast that attaches to the vehicle on the roof. Also drivers and workshop manuals in English. All inerior lights and exterior lights work, including the spotlight mounted on the front of the vehicle. The cockpit guages all work and there is no faulting the vehicles electrical system. The SKOT is a left hand drive vehicle that is capable of being registered as a vintage vehicle in Tasmania, it can carry up to twelve people in the back or be converted into the ultimate off road camper. All up a very rare and unique vehicle, a chance to own a little piece of the cold war, without the red tape involved in importing one from Eastern Europe!
