All machine controls are integrated using solid state controllers and J1939 CANbus
technology. This allows controllers and sensors to communicate with minimal wiring
between the components
Each model in the TXLC Series line of loaded container handlers uses a Tier
Compliant Cummins® electronic turbocharged, charged air aftercooled diesel engine.
Standard engine features include electronic diagnostic and maintenance monitor,
fuel/water separator, engine/transmission protection systems, improved fuel economy,
and reduced emissions. The transmission for all models is a four-speed, fully reversing,
modulated, powershift transmission equipped with declutch and electric shift control.
Tier 4 emission standards,
which are to be phased-in over the period of 2008-2015The Tier
4 standards require that emissions of PM and NOx be further reduced by about 90%.
To meet these new regulations, the TXLC Series of loaded container handlers now
offers an optional Volvo® engine that complies the US EPA Tier 4i requirements. The
Tier 4i Volvo® 12.8 Liter, Penta TAD1360VE delivers 348 HP with SCR, Selective
Catalytic Reduction. This engine is an electronic, turbocharged, charged air
aftercooled (air to air) diesel engine.
